"Peace"

Religious Education Theme 2009-2010

    Peace is at the heart of the Christian religion.  Jesus’ first words to his friends after the Resurrection were, “Peace be with you!”  We all need peace.  We need personal peace, peace in our families, schools and neighborhoods, and peace in our world.  How can we help our children experience God’s peace, and share that peace with others?  How can we “let peace begin with me”?  This year, we are invited to explore this precious gift of PEACE.  By helping the needy, we can bring peace into people’s lives.

Psalm 29:11

Pray that our Lord will make us strong and give us peace.

Isaiah 9:6

A child has been born for us…His names will be Wonderful Advisor & Mighty God, Eternal Father and Price of Peace.

Isaiah 32:17

…and justice will produce lasting peace and security.

God blesses those people who make peace.
