Volunteering
Volunteers are essential to parish life. We rely on you and appreciate your time and talent in all the ministries in our Parish. This year, there are several changes which involve Virtus Training and the background screening process. Basically, the process has been moved to an online platform. We ask that you follow the following steps:
- Complete a Volunteer Request form and forward it to a member of our staff who oversees the ministry. The forms will be available on our website, click the Volunteer tab. Please make sure that you have signed and dated the form.
- Once received and acknowledged, please register and create your Virtus account – www.Virtus.org, and then attend the online training.
- Electronically acknowledge the Diocesan Code of Conduct which is provided during the Virtus registration process.
- Follow the instructions to complete the Sterling Volunteer background application which is offered during the Virtus registration process.
- Submit your Virtus Certificate to a member of our staff who oversees the ministry. We thank you for all that you do for our Parish and hope for your continued support. Please visit our website for an update regarding active volunteers and rescreening.
- If your ministry requires monthly updates, please log in with your ID and password and complete.
